LiDARo — Terms of Use
Effective date: November 2025 · Last updated: July 2026
1. Legal Responsibility
You, the user, are solely responsible for any use of this App and any content you create with it. The developer assumes no liability for:
- Violation of privacy laws or personal rights due to unauthorized scanning.
- Violation of copyright or intellectual property rights.
- Creation, sharing, or use of offensive, illegal, or harmful content.
2. Respect for Privacy
You may not use this App to scan individuals, private property, or restricted areas without clear permission. You must comply with applicable local and international laws.
3. Intellectual Property
You may not use the App to scan or reproduce copyrighted works (such as sculptures, designs, commercial products, etc.) unless you are legally allowed to do so.
4. Exported Files
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any 3D models, voxel models, motion files or videos generated or exported from this App (including files in .obj, .ply, .usdz, .glb, .nbt, .litematic or .mp4 formats) are used in a legal and ethical manner.
- The .nbt and .litematic formats are provided only for technical compatibility with voxel-based editors and games.
- This App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang, Microsoft, or Minecraft®.
- Exported voxel models do not include Minecraft® textures or assets.
Scanning and exporting objects, spaces, or people without appropriate rights or permission may violate laws. The developer is not responsible for any misuse of exported content.
5. Free Features, Watermarks & Subscriptions
- All scanning modes, the in-app Library, 3D preview and animation features are free.
- Free-tier exports of 3D models (OBJ with textures or vertex colors) and videos (MP4) include a visible LiDARo watermark embedded in the exported copy. Your scans stored inside the app are never modified. Point-cloud exports (.ply) are free and carry no watermark.
- LiDARo Pro is an auto-renewable subscription that removes watermarks from all exports and unlocks USDZ/AR and GLB export, Minecraft formats (.nbt, .litematic) and importing external animations (FBX/BVH, e.g. from Mixamo) into the app. Available plans: 6 months (US$0.99) and 12 months (US$1.79), or the local equivalent shown by Apple before purchase.
- No free trial is offered; the free tier itself lets you evaluate every feature.
- Subscription payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings or in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. The exact price and duration are always shown in the purchase flow.
- Refunds are handled by Apple according to App Store policies; the developer does not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly. To request a refund, use Apple's Report a Problem page.
6. Data Handling
This App does not collect, store, or transmit personal data. All LiDAR scan and model data remain local to your device. No scanning data is sent to the developer or stored remotely. See the Privacy Policy for details.
7. User-Generated Content and Age-Appropriate Use
LiDARo allows users to create 3D scans, voxel models and animations solely for their own personal use. These scans and models are stored locally on the device and are not uploaded, shared, or displayed to other users within the App.
Because LiDARo does not contain online features, social content, or a public gallery, no user-generated content is visible to other users. Therefore, no age-based content filtering is required within the App.
Users are responsible for ensuring that any content they create is appropriate for their age and complies with all applicable laws, including privacy and intellectual property laws.
8. Use at Your Own Risk
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The developer is not responsible for any loss, damage, or legal consequences resulting from the use of this App.
9. Open Source Usage
This App uses code and data from open-source projects, including:
